BarkingDog Technology Inc., a Taiwanese AI startup, has been selected for the official Poster Session at the 2026 NVIDIA GTC conference, becoming one of the few Taiwanese startups featured on the GTC stage this year. This follows previous appearances by Taiwanese AI startups such as MetAI and APMIC, highlighting Taiwan’s continued strength in artificial intelligence research and development.
The poster, titled “Implementing Real-time Embodied AI Agents: Enhancing Human-Computer Interaction in Physical Spaces using NVIDIA ACE,” showcases a GPU-accelerated real-time AI voice agent system.
Technology Highlights
The system integrates NVIDIA ACE (Avatar Cloud Engine), large language models (LLMs), and a multi-agent architecture to enable real-time interactive AI voice agents. The end-to-end process—including speech input, semantic understanding, reasoning, and response generation—can be completed in approximately 1.5 seconds, significantly reducing conversational latency and enhancing the naturalness and fluidity of human-computer interaction.
AI Agent Technology and Applications
Chairman and CEO Hsu Kuan-Wen explained that, unlike traditional voice assistants or chatbots, the AI agent is designed not only to answer questions but also to understand intent and proactively execute tasks. The system also incorporates dynamic Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) technology, allowing it to quickly retrieve information from large knowledge bases and generate precise responses.
Additionally, through NVIDIA Omniverse and Isaac platforms, AI virtual agents can interact within digital twin environments, enabling practical support in smart retail, guided services, and industrial scenarios. The technology has already been deployed in the food and beverage industry and is planned to expand into other technology and industrial sectors.
Future Outlook
Moving forward, the company will continue to advance AI voice agent and multi-agent system technologies, promoting the deployment of intelligent service solutions across more industrial applications.
At the same time, BarkingDog Technology aims to expand its international presence, leveraging technological innovation and cross-industry collaboration to strengthen Taiwan’s AI competitiveness globally and accelerate enterprise digital transformation.
